Comparing Impacts of Climate
When we were comparing our Future Impacts of the Climate change to the Climate Changes in the Region, the majority of our projected impacts are already occurring but there are some that are not.

To start, we predicted that the temperatures would increase and according to present studies this was a valid prediction. We also thought that the permafrost would end up melting and that it would affect the structure of the ground. Currently, railway lines need frequent repair due to the permafrost melting, therefore, our prediction was correct. Another prediction that we had made was that the ice sheets would melt causing the water level to rise which would result in losing land. This is correct because studies have shown that the water levels have been rising twice as fast as previous years. We expected that the animal populations would change since they would have to either migrate to a new place or they would end up dying because they would be unable to reach their prey due to the temperature increase. Statistics showed that this expectation was correct and that the animals were even going as far as cannibalism.

Areas where our projected impacts were invalid were when we thought that the amount of rain would become greater than the amount of snowfall. We were unable to find any statistics proving that the climate would change much faster than expected due to green house gasses.

Overall, we were incredibly accurate with the predictions we stated using our previous data.
